Michigan Gets It's Batteries Recharged

After shedding about 500,000 jobs over the last few years, Michigan is going to gain 50,000 plus of those lost jobs back. Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm signed a bill into law today to extend $335 million tax credits over five years to companies developing and manufacturing advanced batteries in Michigan. Since I own examples from both Gibson (Les Paul Studio) and Fender (Custom Tele) I thought it would be right to give equal time to Fenders new Ax’s the Fender road worn series. The custom shop has been cranking out a few tribute guitars with their Relic series. But you practically need a second mortgage for most of those rigs. Michiganders Win Ice Fishing Event

Two anglers from Michigan beat out 79 other two angler teams to earn themselves first place by a whisker hair thin 1 3/4 ounce margin. With the win also comes an apperance on the "Ice Men" cable tv fishing show. For more on their win get out your auger and drill a hole here.
